The entire lab participated in the main meeting of the EvoDevOmics Spanish network that we are part of. Two fantastic days discussing science with exciting talks by members of the network and international collaborators. Both Manu and Marta gave talks about their projects.

We celebrated the New year together with the Almudi lab.
This months was indeed full of celebrations with Marta Magri's PhD now published in Nat. Eco. Evo.
Furthermore, Manu gave a great talk at the SESBE 2026 meeting in Valencia.

This month was full of activities.
We attended to the EuroEvoDevo2024 in Helsinki to present the results of the lab projects, with talks by María José and Nacho and posters by Manu and Marta.
Manu also gave a talk during the XXIII Jornada de Biologia Evolutiva of the SCB.
Finally, we have a really nice lunch to celebrate the publication of a fantastic collaboration with the Serras & Corominas lab, check the paper here:

We welcome new team members!!!
Bea Loría joined the group as the lab manager and Alberto Pineda-Santaella started as Postdoctoral Researcher to work on a new exciting project using yeast as a model system.
Most of the team attended to the kick-up meeting of the "R2G" network we are part of, in La Cristalera, Madrid.

We have been awarded a grant from the Spanish Research council!
With this project we will investigate how new TFs establish their very first interactions with their new host genomes.
